School of Grammar

Prekindergarten — 4th Grade

Students in PK-4th grade are part of our School of Grammar. 

Developmentally, these children think in concrete ways.  They desire to know the set of “rules” that govern their world. These are the years they have the most innate ability to memorize.  Because of this, the classical method of teaching emphasizes memorization and retrieval of facts.  This includes, scripture memory, math facts memorization, songs, chants, stories. 

We desire to pour truth into their minds, so they are able to synthesize and utilize this information for the rest of their lives.
